On Easter Sunday, cowards unleashed a wave of bombings across Sri Lanka killing 311 people and injuring hundreds more. The killings led to authorities around the global investigating the attack, which has led to 24 arrests.
The U.S. believes it has identified a key operative in the attacks and has initially concluded that the person responsible for these mass killings has connections to international terrorism organizations, including ISIS, according to U.S. officials.
As a response, Sri Lanka has declared a state of emergency, and Tuesday has been declared a national day of mourning in the country.
With the nation in grief, many political players in the U.S. joined in lamenting the loss of Christian victims killed by suicide bombers.
