Chamberlin announced on Tuesday his total fundraising since running for office February in his bid to replace outgoing U.S. Representative Ted Yoho in Florida’s 3rd Congressional District (CD-3).
Given the current climate, Chamberlin boasts an impressive total, raising over $100,000 in his first six weeks of fundraising.
“When we started out on this journey, no one could have predicted the immediate challenge of COVID-19, and I cannot offer enough thanks to my supporters, friends, and family for keeping their commitment in these first few weeks,” said Chamberlin. “Everyone is hurting financially right now, but I am gratified by the growing momentum for our campaign, and I am looking forward to a strong second quarter as well.”
Chamberlin, a business consultant based in Marion County, knows firsthand the devastation brought on by the coronavirus. His career serving business and CEO’s has been instrumental in his decision to run for CD-3, and he believes his leadership in the business community will set him apart from others in the field.
“COVID-19 is what is top of mind for every voter right now. But they are concerned not only about their health but also about their jobs and healthcare coverage,” he added. “With strong leadership, we will continue to overcome all of the obstacles and keep America on the path to strength and prosperity.”
